In season 1 episode 2 of United Tastes of America, the focus is on burgers – an American classic loved by people across the country. The host, Jeffrey Saad, travels from coast to coast to explore the country's diverse burger scene and see what makes each regional variation unique.

The episode starts off in Los Angeles, where Saad tries the famous Kogi truck's Korean BBQ burger, which features a patty topped with Korean barbecue sauce, spicy mayo, and kimchi slaw. He also samples a vegan Impossible burger and a traditionally “veggie” burger at two different restaurants.

Next, Saad heads to Nashville, Tennessee, where the burgers are a bit more traditional but no less delicious. He tries a turkey burger at a local diner and then visits one of the city's best-known burger places, Burger Republic. Here, he gets to try a burger that weighs over a pound and comes with three different types of bacon. He also learns that it's not just about the beef – “bun-tasting” is just as important.

In Oklahoma City, Saad explores the connection between burgers and barbecue. He visits Tucker's Onion Burgers, which has been serving up burgers since 1947. The burgers here are made with hand-chopped onions mixed into the beef, which gives them a unique flavor. Saad also tries a “Barbecuban” burger at a local BBQ joint, which features a patty topped with pulled pork, pickles, and mustard.

Moving on to Philadelphia, Saad finds that the city has its own classic burger, the “Philly Cheesesteak Burger.” He visits a restaurant called Rouge, where he tries a burger served on a pretzel bun and topped with provolone cheese, sautéed onions, and mushrooms. He also visits a restaurant called Village Whiskey, where he samples a burger made with foie gras and truffle.

Finally, Saad makes his way to Miami, Florida, which is known for its Latin flavors. He tries a burger from Pincho Factory that features a patty flavored with chorizo and topped with queso frito and caramelized onions. He also learns about the Cuban Frita, a burger made with a blend of beef and chorizo, and tries one at a local restaurant.

Throughout the episode, Saad meets with chefs and restaurant owners who are passionate about their burgers and their local food scenes. He showcases the different ways that Americans have put their own spin on this classic dish, from Korean flavors to barbecue to Latin seasoning. By the end of the episode, viewers will be ready to hit the road and try some of these delicious burgers for themselves.
