In season 2 episode 9 of Wicked Tuna, titled Meltdown, tensions are high as the competition between the captains heats up. As the end of the season draws near, each crew is desperately trying to catch as much tuna as possible in order to secure a place in the top three.

Captain Dave Carraro of the FV-Tuna.com finds himself struggling to stay in the game after suffering a devastating blow. His prized fish finder breaks down, leaving him without the ability to locate the massive schools of bluefin tuna that he needs to catch in order to stay competitive. With time running out, Dave scrambles to come up with a solution, but it seems that luck may not be on his side.

Meanwhile, Captain Tyler McLaughlin of the Pinwheel is determined to take the lead. With his sights set on victory, Tyler pushes his crew harder than ever before. However, when a member of his team falls ill, Tyler must make the difficult decision to leave him behind and continue the hunt without him. As they venture out into the treacherous seas of the North Atlantic, the Pinwheel crew faces a number of challenges, including a broken line and a malfunctioning reel. Will they be able to overcome these obstacles and catch enough tuna to secure a top spot in the competition?

As the other captains also battle it out on the water, tensions between rival crews continue to simmer. Captain Paul Hebert of the Lisa and Jake Anderson of the Hard Merchandise find themselves in a heated confrontation that could have serious consequences for both of them.

With so much at stake, the pressure is on for each captain to catch as much tuna as possible. With only a few days left in the season, the competition is reaching its boiling point. Who will come out on top? Find out in Wicked Tuna season 2 episode 9, Meltdown.
