A description for the show Without A Trace season 3 episode 12:
When a man goes missing after leaving his job during a lunch break, the team at the FBI's Missing Persons Unit is called in to investigate. As they dig deeper into the case, they discover that the man may have been involved in some shady business dealings that have put him in danger.
The team learns that the man has a troubled past, having served time for armed robbery. The team suspects that his past may have caught up with him and that someone may be seeking revenge. As they interview his colleagues and family members, they begin to piece together a series of events that lead them to believe that the man is in serious trouble.
Meanwhile, Jack (Anthony LaPaglia) is struggling with his own demons. After visiting his father in prison, he begins to question his own morality. He confides in Samantha (Poppy Montgomery) about his guilt and she tries to comfort him.
As the team gets closer to finding the missing man, they discover that he has been hiding out in a church. The team realizes that the man is seeking forgiveness for his past crimes and has turned to religion for solace. However, his attempts at redemption may have put him in even greater danger.
The team races against the clock to find the missing man before it's too late. They must navigate through a web of lies and deception as they try to uncover the truth behind his disappearance. As they get closer to the truth, they discover that the man's past may be more complicated than they ever imagined.
In the end, the team is able to solve the case and provide closure for the missing man's family. However, the experience has left Jack with a renewed sense of guilt and has forced him to confront his own demons. With the help of his colleagues, he begins to come to terms with his own past and seeks to make amends for his mistakes.
