Ep 2. Straight Edge Skills

In season 4 episode 2 of Worst Cooks in America, titled "Straight Edge Skills," the remaining contestants are tasked with preparing a dish using a straight edge blade. They must first learn how to properly handle and sharpen the blade, as well as the various techniques for cutting and slicing ingredients.

The Red Team, led by Chef Anne Burrell, decides to make a beef and vegetable stir-fry with rice. However, one of their team members struggles with using the straight edge blade and nearly injures themselves. Chef Anne steps in to help and instruct, but tensions rise as the team becomes frustrated with their teammate's lack of skills.

Meanwhile, on the Blue Team, led by Chef Tyler Florence, they choose to make a seafood paella with scallops, shrimp, and mussels. One of their team members also struggles with the blade and ends up cutting their finger. Despite the setback, the team manages to work together and complete the dish.

During the cooking and preparation, both teams struggle with timing and organization. The Red Team ends up rushing to finish their dish, resulting in overcooked beef and undercooked vegetables. The Blue Team manages to complete their dish with more time to spare, but their paella ends up too soupy.

In the end, the judges taste both dishes and ultimately declare a winner. The losing team must then participate in a pressure test, where they must recreate a dish from memory. The stakes are high as one more contestant will be sent home.

The episode ends on a cliffhanger, setting up for more intense challenges and high stakes as the competition continues.
