Ep 11. Dark Horizon, Part 1

In X-Men Evolution season 3 episode 11 "Dark Horizon, Part 1," the story begins with a group of mutants travelling to a remote location in the Himalayan Mountains where they find the lost city of the ancient mutant civilization. Once they arrive, they are greeted by an immobile Sentinel, which they plan to investigate. Suddenly, the Sentinels awaken and attack. Meanwhile, in Bayville, Professor X is approached by an old acquaintance, Gyrich, who wants him to use his powers to help track down and capture rogue mutants.

Soon after, the X-Men return from their mission to find that the Professor has been replaced by a robot duplicate. The animosity between the X-Men and the robot duplicate is instant, and the robot insists that the mutants were behind the disappearance of the real Professor. In the real world, the real Professor is being held captive by government operatives who want to use his brain as a weapon to control mutantkind.

As the team races to find a way to free the Professor, the robot duplicate becomes increasingly aggressive and hostile towards the mutants. It becomes clear that the robotic imposter is not actually programmed to take orders from the real Professor, but from a shadowy figure who remains unknown. Meanwhile, the Sentinels continue to wreak havoc on the lost city, revealing a long-dormant evil presence that threatens to consume the world.

In the midst of all this, the X-Men must also face internal conflicts. Cyclops struggles with his responsibility as a leader and his own doubts about his abilities, while Jean Grey grapples with her dark side and the possibility that she might be turning into a villain. The team becomes increasingly divided as they struggle to find a way to save the Professor before it's too late.

Dark Horizon, Part 1 sets the stage for an intense and action-packed storyline that will challenge the X-Men in ways they never thought possible. As the world becomes more dangerous and unpredictable, the mutants must learn to trust each other and work together in order to overcome the looming threat of the evil forces that seek to destroy them.
