Ep 4. What Happens to Idiots

In You, Me and the Apocalypse season 1 episode 4, titled "What Happens to Idiots," the characters continue to navigate the end of the world as they know it. Jamie and his newfound family, including his estranged wife and their son, bunk down in a fallout shelter as the comet inches ever closer to Earth. Meanwhile, Father Jude and Sister Celine attempt to solve the mystery of the missing messiah, leading them to a group of possibly dangerous individuals.

Rhonda, who had previously been convicted of a cybercrime, is granted a temporary release from prison and joins a group of fellow criminals who are trying to flee the country. However, their plans go awry when the pilot of their plane decides to jump ship mid-flight, leaving them stranded without a pilot.

As the characters' paths begin to converge, tensions rise and trust becomes increasingly scarce. With the end of the world fast approaching, they must all confront their past mistakes and decide how they want to spend their last days on Earth.

In this episode, the themes of redemption and forgiveness are explored as several characters attempt to make amends for their past actions. There is also a sense of urgency as time runs out for the characters to find a way to survive the impending apocalypse. The episode ends with a major cliffhanger, leaving audiences on the edge of their seats and eager to see what happens next.
