Ep 1. The Enemy Walks In

Sydney Bristow returns as the smart and capable double agent in Alias' Season 2 premiere, "The Enemy Walks In." We pick up where we left off in Season 1, where Sydney has just discovered that her mother, who she thought had died, is actually a high-level KGB agent. The episode begins with a high-stakes meeting between SD-6, the secret government agency Sydney works for, and K-Directorate, the KGB division her mother Irina Derevko works for.

The meeting between SD-6 and K-Directorate is tense, and both sides are wary of the other's intentions. Sydney is tasked with gathering information during the meeting, but her loyalties are divided as she tries to figure out what her mother's true intentions are. Meanwhile, Jack Bristow, Sydney's father and a double agent himself, is working with Vaughn to figure out what Irina's endgame is.

She's left with a troubling question about her mother's allegiances: is she working for SD-6, or is she still loyal to K-Directorate?

At the end of the episode, Sydney is faced with a difficult choice: should she trust her mother, who has just made a promise to help her take down SD-6, or should she trust Jack and Vaughn, who have been working to expose the secrets of SD-6?
