America's Most Wanted is an inspiring show which gives watchers a first hand look at some of the dangerous criminals residing in the United States of America and allows you to play your role in helping to subdue them. Hosted by John Walsh, America's Most Wanted aims to aid law enforcement in catching offenders of heinous crimes like rape, murder, robbery, gang violence, and even terrorism.

The show was first aired on February 7th, 1988 on Fox and was one of its longest running programs. It has served its purpose in assisting our law enforcement agencies and lead to the capture of hundreds of fugitives. As a watcher, you are able to get the in-depth stories of the crimes that were committed and you are shown pictures and/or descriptions of the offenders. Throughout the show, a phone number is given to watchers who have seen the offenders or know anything about the crimes.

The compelling commentary and the juicy reenactments displayed throughout makes this both a highly entertaining and highly informative show that serves a real purpose in the world. These are traits that most reality shows of today are lacking. In some cases, real footage is displayed which makes this show an even bigger hit. It is by far one of the best crime shows to date.

Around 26 years later, the show still lives on. Though it was cancelled on Fox networks, it was announced shortly after that it would resume on Lifetime network and can still be seen today. John Walsh's passion for the show is clear and evident as he has been with the program from the very beginning. To him, this is not just a job but a way to make our society a better place. As a viewer, you can truly see and feel the fiery will that Walsh has to put away these despicable criminals.
