In this episode of Andrew Zimmern's Bizarre World, the host takes us to the diverse state of Wisconsin, where he explores some of the most unusual and intriguing foods the state has to offer.

Zimmern starts off in Milwaukee, where he indulges in a hot dog like no other at the famous hot dog stand, Teddy's Red Hots. The local delicacy, called the "Milwaukee Slammer," features a hot dog wrapped in bacon and deep-fried to perfection.

Next, Zimmern visits a dairy farm in the town of Monroe, known as the "Swiss Cheese Capital of the USA." Here, he learns about the cheese-making process and tastes some of the finest Swiss cheese in the world.

Moving on, Zimmern travels to the town of Racine, where he gets to try another local delicacy, the "kringle." A sweet pastry that originated from Denmark, the kringle has become a staple dessert in Wisconsin, especially in Racine.

Zimmern then heads to the capital city of Madison, where he tries an unusual twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich at the food cart, Gili's Paninis. The "Wisconsin Cheesesteak" features grilled cheese sandwiched with shaved prime rib and sautéed onions and peppers.

In Green Bay, Zimmern visits a family-owned restaurant, Kroll's West, where he gets to try a unique Midwestern specialty, the "butter burger." This burger is made by slathering butter onto the bun before grilling the patty to create a rich and flavorful dish.

Finally, Zimmern ends his trip in Sheboygan, where he tries a dish that has been passed down through generations of Wisconsin families - the "booyah." A hearty and aromatic soup consisting of chicken, vegetables, and spices, booyah is a communal dish that brings people together.

Throughout the episode, Zimmern also dives into the history and culture of Wisconsin, exploring the craftsmanship of local artisans and the natural beauty of the state's landscapes.

Join Andrew Zimmern on his culinary adventure through Wisconsin, as he discovers the state's most bizarre and delicious dishes.
