Andrew Zimmern's Big Departure is a reality television series about real travel. This reality series features travel. Andrew Zimmern is given a destination each episode. Once he is given this destination the viewer is given a chance to hear what Andrew believes he knows about it. He then travels to the chosen destination and lives there for a week. He explores the area and looks into the rumors and myths about each place he travels to reveal the truth. The focus of this reality series is to dispel myths about faraway places. Andrew will cite the myths he believes and then explore the destination to find the truth.
