John Ross Ewing (Josh Henderson), head of Ewing Energies, is on the hunt for a new well. He thinks he's found one on the old Southfork Ranch, but there's just one problem - the ranch has new owners. The owners are selling off chunks of the land bit by bit to help pay for a sick relative's medical bills, so John Ross knows he has to move fast if he wants the well for himself.

Meanwhile, Bobby Ewing (Patrick Duffy) is dealing with his own problems. His wife Ann (Brenda Strong) is still feeling guilty about killing her ex-husband, and she's starting to become unhinged. Bobby insists that she tell the truth and turn herself in, but Ann is afraid of the consequences.

At the office, Christopher Ewing (Jesse Metcalfe) is dealing with his own issues. A new employee, Heather (AnnaLynne McCord), has joined the team and she's already causing trouble. She's insistent on getting her way, and Christopher realizes that she's not afraid to play dirty.

Later, Elena Ramos (Jordana Brewster) receives a surprise visit from her childhood friend Drew Ramos (Kuno Becker). Drew has always harbored feelings for Elena, but she's never reciprocated them. Elena is happy to see her old friend, but when he reveals that he's in trouble with the law, she knows she has to help him out.

As the episode progresses, the characters' storylines start to intertwine. John Ross enlists the help of Christopher to get the ranch owners to sell, but they're hesitant. Ann reaches out to Heather for help, hoping she can convince Bobby to keep quiet about her past. And as Elena and Drew try to clear his name, they find themselves in danger.

In the end, everything comes to a head as tensions boil over. Bobby makes a decision about Ann's situation, John Ross finally gets what he wants, and Christopher realizes that Heather is more dangerous than he thought. And as Elena and Drew face the consequences of their actions, they both realize that they might be in over their heads.

Overall, "Old Acquaintance" is a thrilling episode of Dallas that keeps the audience engaged from start to finish. With multiple storylines that all come together in the end, it's a great example of the show's ability to tell complex, interconnected stories. Whether you're a longtime fan of the original series or a newcomer to the world of Dallas, this episode is sure to leave you hooked and wanting more.
