Lucy and Ricky's new band has booked a tour of Europe, and they're bringing along their best friends Fred and Ethel. They arrive in Europe, excited to begin their adventure, but quickly find themselves in over their heads.
Their first gig in Paris is a disaster, with Ricky struggling to communicate with the French-speaking audience. The group then visits Rome, where they are chased by street vendors and nearly arrested after mistakenly taking a police officer's hat.
As the tour continues, tensions rise within the group. Fred becomes frustrated with Ethel when she insists on visiting every museum and art gallery, while Lucy and Ricky argue about who is responsible for the tour's problems.
Despite the challenges, the group perseveres and eventually finds success in Germany. However, their triumph is short-lived when they discover they've accidentally double-booked their next performance with a group of yodelers.
As they struggle to find a solution, Lucy and Ethel come up with a plan to disguise themselves as the yodelers in order to perform their own songs. The plan works, and the group is once again a hit with the audience.
In the end, the group returns to the United States with fond memories of their European adventure and a renewed appreciation for each other's strengths and weaknesses.
