The animated children's series Monsuno tells the story of three teenagers, Chase, Jinja, and Bren. They discover that Chase's father, Jeredy, is missing, but has left them a laboratory full of animal hybrid monsters called Monsuno. The Monsuno accompany the three kids on their quest to find Jeredy, investigate a mysterious organization called S.T.O.R.M., and defeat the villainous Dr. Emanuel Klipse. Chase, Jinja, and Bren also learn that, along with a young monk named Beyal and a rebellious boy named Dax, they are destined to change the world.

Monsuno is an American-Japanese co-production. It was created by Jeremy Padawer and Jared Wolfson, businessmen who previously worked in the toy industry but channeled their love for animation into Monsuno. The show stars legendary voice actor Cam Clarke, famous for his roles as Leonardo in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Liquid Snake in the Metal Gear video games, as Chase, Jeredy, and Klipse. It airs on NickToons in the United States and on TV Tokyo in Japan.

In the early episodes of the series, Chase, Jinja, and Bren discover the Monsuno and learn that S.T.O.R.M. intends to collect and control all of the Monsuno. Each teenager becomes the master of a Monsuno, and they use the monsters to protect them from danger and to fight their enemies' Monsuno. During their search for Jeredy, they meet Dr. Klipse, Jeredy's former partner, who seems to be an ally at first but turns out to have created the brutal Monsuno Fighting Underground. Klipse also believes that Chase's Monsuno, Lock, is the key to his master plan and seeks to steal Lock from Chase.

Several companies co-produce Monsuno, including Dentsu Entertainment USA, Jakks Pacific, and Topps. FremantleMedia also produces the show and distributes it domestically and internationally. Monsuno premiered in the United States on February 23, 2012, and throughout Europe and Latin America in the spring of 2012. Its premiere was delayed in Japan, but it began airing there in October 2012. Twenty-six episodes have been produced in the first season.

Chase and Team Core Tech are off to invade S.T.O.R.M.'s biggest, most-protected base. • Jeredy's work with collecting the frequencies for the Big Board is really coming together. He's gathered almost enough to Complete the "puzzle" of finding the right frequency to stop the Monsuno Essence from burrowing deeper into the earth... thus saving the earth itself. Chase and Team Core Tech break into S.T.O.R.M.'s massive NORAD-styled underground base to collect harmonic samples of the original Cores (that Jeredy created for S.T.O.R.M. but they were unstable and were locked away deep underground). TCT comes up against Charlemagne's new Armada! But, Chase never lets something like overwhelming odds and certain doom stand in his way. He's going in Monsunos blazing!

  • The power of Monsuno Sight makes Chase and Beyal prime targets for the Hand of Destiny (who desperately need more Keepers/power slaves for their Well of Sight). They put Chase and Beyal under a hallucination that their friends are Mutant Monsters splitting up our team so that Medea and Darkspin can close in and grab Chase and Beyal. Faced with these "monsters" Chase and Beyal spin out and battle their comrades. Charlemagne and Trey soon show up to add to the ruckus. Tallis freaks afraid Charlemagne will make him her slave again. He sets off a new weapon -- An Experimental Power Wave originally intended to affect only Forge Cores, enhancing their powers. But the unfinished weapon affects ALL the battling Monsunos, temporarily giving them new colors and reverse powers that bounce attacks back at the enemy. TCT figures out how to use this to their advantage. Tallis then sets off a self-destruct, which destroys the junkyard and covers his tracks. But, our heroes are happy to have at least taken out a Forge Core production facility.

  • Jeredy discovers S.T.O.R.M. is stockpiling Monsuno essence and sends TCT to secure it using an experimental device called the Emulsifactor. Yet, One-eyed Jack and the Desert Wolves get there first and plan to blow up all this essence by turning it into a 1-gigaton bomb that'll take out half the continent. Jack detonates the bomb and the Monsuno essence goes into critical meltdown. TCT must contain the explosion in a move that could destroy all their Monsunos. They succeed with help from an unlikely source, Commander Trey. One-Eyed Jack is thwarted, and TCT escape with the Essence locked in the Emulsifactor device. Dr. Jeredy Suno gained a big weapon in his battle to save the Earth: new frequencies collected from all this condensed Monsuno Essence is definitely going on the Big Board! Progress!

  • Dr. Klipse is after Lock as the Lynchpin. Jeredy must tell Chase why Lock is so special. It was the way the core was designed... and Jeredy put in a strand of Chase's hair. Chase and Lock are like brothers! Lock is the one Monsuno to bridge the gap between humanity and Monsunos. He's the only hope they have to truly keep Monsuno Essence from destroying the planet. They must work to save our planet from being exploded and destroyed by the Monsuno Essence at the Earth's core. Beyal must chose between the lives of all Monsunos and the lives of his friends. He pushes the button destroying all Monsuno Essence... and all Monsunos... thus saving the world from destruction! Luckily, this wasn't real. It all takes place in Virtual Reality created by Dr. Jeredy Suno. But, could our team destroy all Monsuno Essence in real reality? Tough call.

  • Dr. Klipse clones himself into a younger version he calls, "6" sending him out to find Chase Suno. The young boys bond, but 6 is told he must destroy Chase and now must struggle between what his father wants and his new friends.

  • Dr. Klipse reveals his latest experiment, Number 6 (a teenage clone of himself), and sends him out to destroy Team Core Tech. While out hunting Punk Monks, Chase and the others discover 6 and invite him along (unaware of who he truly is). Meanwhile, Chase has visions of his mother in some kind of warning. While battling the Punk Monks, 6 is forced to choose between his father or his new friends. He picks his father, and Chase has to use a double Monsuno attack to win. The others are mad, but Chase understands 6 was only trying to help his 'father' and lets 6 walk... this time.

  • Dr. Klipse wants to recreate the experiment of Jon Ace/Toxic Ace with an unwilling subject: Dax! It's something of an old score he wants to settle with Dax. Dr. Klipse hires Dom Pyro to capture Dax and bring him in alive. Dax doesn't go down without a fight but Loses! Dr. Klipse, Hargrave and Dom Pyro are in attendance as Dax is placed into a Tank and is about to be experimented on. The rest of Team Core Tech works hard to find and save Dax before he becomes Toxic-Dax (even though both Bren and Jinja joke that he's pretty toxic already).

  • On the trail of a big cache of S.T.O.R.M. controlled Monsuno Essence, our heroes walk into a trap set by a new group of Monsuno controllers: S.T.O.R.M.'S Strike Squad! These juvenile delinquents have been handpicked by Charlemagne and Commander Trey.

  • Chase and Team Core Tech must stop Professor Tallis and his Forge Resistance from their ultimate plan... to put a Mega Wild Core Bomb on a rocket and fly it into Westward City. Millions of innocent lives will be lost unless our heroes can stop them! After intense fighting, Bren launches Neo-Quickforce and saves the day on the ground while Chase puts himself in the rocket in order to jettison the bomb harmlessly into space... only to return to earth in the arms of Lock, his Monsuno... the protective shield barely holding as they burn back down and crash land near the city they just saved.

  • In the second season premiere, the heroes of Team Core Tech come face to face with members of the Forge Resistance: Drezz and the Punk Monks, who are on an evil mission.
