Ep 21. My Country, Pawn Of Thee

In this episode of Pawn Stars season 13, titled "My Country, Pawn Of Thee," the guys at the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop are flooded with a variety of items that all have a unique American history behind them.

Later on, a seller brings in a piece of metal that he believes to be from the Apollo 11 spacecraft. While Rick and the guys are understandably skeptical of the authenticity of the item, they must do their due diligence to determine its true history and significance.

Another seller walks into the shop with a 1920s painting of a ship cruising on the open sea. The painting was created by a prominent artist of the time, and the guys must decide if it's worth more for the art or for its historical significance as a reflection of the time period.

Finally, a seller walks into the shop with a baseball that was signed by Babe Ruth during a game in which he hit a home run. The guys are immediately wowed by the item but must do extensive research to determine if it's the real deal.

Throughout the episode, the guys grapple with the intersection of history and value, looking for ways to honor the objects' cultural and personal significance while also making a profit.
