Robert Klein: Unfair and Unbalanced is a one-hour comedy special that was released on HBO in 2010. The show features the legendary stand-up comedian Robert Klein, who has been in the entertainment industry for over four decades. Klein's comedy is known for its observational style, as he comments on the absurdities of everyday life and society. In this show, he takes aim at a wide range of topics, including politics, religion, relationships, and pop culture.

The special begins with Klein commenting on the state of the world today, and how it seems to be more chaotic and divisive than ever before. He then goes on to poke fun at politicians, including President Barack Obama and former Vice President Dick Cheney.

One of the recurring themes of the show is Klein's nostalgia for the past. He reminisces about his childhood growing up in the Bronx, and how he used to go to the movies for just 25 cents. He also talks about the music of his generation, including the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, and Bob Dylan.

Klein's commentary on relationships is also a highlight of the show. He talks about his own experiences with marriage and divorce, and how he's still trying to figure out the opposite sex. He also jokes about the differences between men and women, including their communication styles and their approaches to sex.

The show is a mix of stand-up comedy and storytelling, with Klein sharing personal anecdotes about his life and career. He talks about his early days as a struggling comedian, and how he was eventually discovered by the legendary producer and director Robert Altman.

Klein also reflects on some of the cultural milestones of his career, including his appearances on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and Saturday Night Live. He talks about his friendship with fellow comedian Rodney Dangerfield, and how he came up with the iconic tagline, "I don't get no respect."

Throughout the special, Klein's humor is bold and irreverent, but it's also insightful and thought-provoking. He challenges his audience to think critically about the world around them, and to find the humor in even the most serious situations.

Overall, Robert Klein: Unfair and Unbalanced is a classic example of stand-up comedy at its finest. It's a must-see for anyone who appreciates sharp wit, clever satire, and good old-fashioned laughs.
