Ep 9. The Last Resort

In Sonic X season 1 episode 9, titled "The Last Resort", Sonic and the gang are in search of the last Chaos Emerald. They learn that the Emerald is located on a tropical island resort called "The Island of the Ancients".

Once on the island, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles try to blend in with the vacationers while searching for the Emerald. However, they soon realize that the resort is not all it seems. Tikal, having special powers, is able to communicate with the spirits of the ancient people who once lived on the island. The spirits instruct Tikal to use her powers to cause a volcanic eruption, which will destroy the resort and free the captured animals.

In the end, Sonic and his friends are able to escape the holding cell and retrieve the Chaos Emerald from the rare bird. They then use the Emerald to stop the volcanic eruption just in time to save the resort guests and wildlife.

"The Last Resort" is an action-packed episode that highlights the importance of protecting natural habitats and standing up against greed and exploitation. It is also a great example of Sonic's bravery and his willingness to fight for what is right. Overall, it is a must-watch episode for both fans of Sonic X and newcomers to the series.
