Carrie Bradshaw is a beloved character from Sex in the City, however where did she get her start as a trendy fashionista of New York City? Find out all about Carrie and her life when she moved to New York City in 1984 in the new hit series The Carrie Diaries from the CW.

Featuring Anna Sophia Robb from Soul Surfer as Carrie, Stefania Owe from The Lovely Bones as Dorrit; the two young actresses portray their characters as if the roles were written for them individually.

The story is about young 16 year old Carrie Bradshaw and her family following her mother's passing. Not only will viewers be able to get an inside look as to what made Carrie the woman she becomes in her future, but see her young friends Maggie, Mouse and Walt who help her through a lot.

Though she is dealing with the passing from her Mother she receives an internship offer at a law firm in Manhattan which she accepts and moves on towards a better happier and new found life. Carrie meets new friends in the New York City scene and learns more about the world of glamor, club life and high fashion. Carrie makes a variety of new acquaintances, enemies, friends, and she finally meets the first love of her life, Manhattan.

With its debut on January 14 2013, The Carrie Diaries proves to be a great show for previous fans of Sex in the City and provides a look in to Carrie Bradshaw from a new prospective that will be more relevant to teenagers and young adults of today and open them up to the fabulous and fantastic story of Carrie Bradshaw and her rise to success as a fashionista and brave woman with a bright future.

The series is based on the novels by Candace Bushnell and is created with producers who worked on other CW hit shows such as Hart of Dixie and Gossip Girl.
