In season 8 episode 15 of The Dead Files, titled Crowded House - Richmond Heights, Ohio, paranormal investigator Amy Allan and retired NYPD homicide detective Steve DiSchiavi travel to a suburban home in Ohio to investigate claims of terrifying paranormal activity.

The home's residents, a family comprised of a mother, father, and two teenage daughters, have been experiencing unexplainable occurrences for years. They have reported seeing apparitions wandering through the house, heard strange noises, and felt an ominous presence lurking around every corner.

Amy and Steve begin their investigation separately, with Amy using her psychic abilities to communicate with spirits and Steve delving into the history of the property and any possible tragedies that may have occurred there.

As Amy conducts her walk-through of the home, she begins to pick up on the presence of a malevolent entity that she describes as being demonic in nature. She senses a strong dark energy that seems to be overwhelming the family and causing them great fear.

Steve, meanwhile, discovers that the land the home was built on was once owned by a family that suffered a terrible tragedy. As he digs deeper, he uncovers evidence of a series of disturbing and violent incidents that occurred on the property throughout the years.

Together, Amy and Steve work to uncover the truth about the haunting and to help the family find a way to rid their home of the evil entity that has taken up residence there. They ultimately decide that the best course of action is for the family to move out of the house, but not before Amy performs a cleansing ritual to try to banish the negative energy.
