Ep 6. Where in the World is Carmine O'Brien

Patrick Jane and the CBI team are on a mission to track down Carmine O'Brien, a mafia boss who has gone missing. The team receives a tip that O'Brien is hiding out in a remote area in the mountains of California. With the help of a local law enforcement officer, the team begins their search. Along the way, they encounter several obstacles and dead ends.

As they investigate, they discover that O'Brien had recently acquired a valuable painting, and they suspect that this may have something to do with his disappearance. They also learn that O'Brien had not been getting along with his associates, and there may be a power struggle within the mafia.

Meanwhile, Jane is still struggling with the fallout from his recent breakup with his girlfriend, and his focus is not entirely on the case. However, he soon discovers a clue that leads him to believe that O'Brien may be hiding out in a nearby cabin.

The team sets out to search the cabin, but they find it empty. However, they do find evidence that O'Brien was there recently. As they try to apprehend O'Brien, they are ambushed by his associates. A shootout ensues, and the team is forced to take cover. During the chaos, O'Brien manages to escape. The team regroups and chases after him, but he manages to elude them once again.

Back at the CBI headquarters, the team reviews their findings and tries to piece together what happened. Jane uses his powers of deduction to figure out that O'Brien had actually planned his disappearance and had set up an elaborate ruse to throw the team off his trail. He also realizes that O'Brien had hidden the painting before he was apprehended, and that it is still out there somewhere.

In the end, the team is left with more questions than answers, but they vow to continue their search for O'Brien and the missing painting. The episode ends with Jane standing alone, deep in thought, as he contemplates the case and grapples with his personal issues.
