Included are in-depth interviews with experts and members of the Nixon staff including Alexander Haig, Henry Kissinger, and John Dean, historians Jonathan Aitken, Robert Dallek, and Washington Post editor Ben Bradlee. The momentous events of Nixon's career will be covered starting with his vice presidency, his political resurrection a decade later and his struggle to end the Vietnam War. Finally we will trace Nixon's reemergence as an elder statesman.

By looking past our now-mythical recollections, JFK: A Life Revealed, presents the story of a remarkable man whose assassination was merely the final moment of his remarkable life. Using the 35th President's private records, phone logs, medical reports, and secret recordings of meetings with his White House staff, our story will expose Kennedy as a flawed giant who dominated his time though sheer determination. Using previously unreleased images, including Kennedy family home movies and photos from Life Magazine's archive, JFK: A Life Revealed, will trace Kennedy's journey from his privileged roots as the son of a wealthy Irish-American entrepreneur, to his celebrated thousand days as both the first Catholic, and the youngest man ever to be elected President. Focusing on Kennedy's visions of a "New Frontier," the program reviews the successes and failures JFK faced at home and abroad, as well as their lasting effects on America and the world today. Filtered with portions of Robert Kennedy's oral history broadcast here for the first time ever, as well as JFK's secret telephone and cabinet room recordings, this film offers new perspectives on both the public and private life of John F. Kennedy. To assist in capturing the essence of the man and the times in which he led, JFK: A Life Revealed delivers in-depth interviews with a broad spectrum of experts and luminaries, including administration insiders Arthur Schlesinger and Ted Sorensen, foreign officials Egon Bahr and Sergei Khrushchev, historians Robert Dallek, Evan Thomas and Alekandr Fursenko, presidential journalists Sander Vanocur, Hugh Sidey and Ben Bradlee, and JFK's personal friends Paul "Red" Fey and John Seigenthaler. Our 2-part special explores the character of the man who stood at the epicenter of American politics for 12 of the nation's most turbulent years. Using rare home movies, secret White House recordings, oral histories, and a cousin's secret diary, we show how the 32nd president overcame disability to carry the nation out of the Depression, rallied a divided country to common purpose, and charted the course towards victory in WWII. We also reveal FDR's private side that he tried so hard to conceal, including intimate stories of a 24-year struggle with paralysis and an affair that destroyed his marriage. Part 1 covers significant events of his presidency from his first inauguration, historic first 100 days in office, the New Deal, Fireside Chats, the NRA, CCC, and WPA, his controversial Court-packing plan, isolationist platform for reelection in 1940, and relationship with Winston Churchill.
