In Too Deep is the second episode of the American suspense television series The Tomorrow People. Released in 2013, the series focuses on the story of a group of young adults who wake up to discover that they have evolved into "Tomorrow People" - individuals with superpowers, including teleportation, telekinesis, and telepathy.

In the second episode, the story continues where it left off, with Stephen (Robbie Amell) trying to come to terms with his newfound powers. Stephen is a high school student who has discovered that he is a Tomorrow Person, and the episode starts with him struggling to keep his secret from his family and his classmates. His only confidant is his friend Astrid (Madeleine Mantock), who becomes a central character in the series.

The opening scene of the episode shows Stephen teleporting himself into a pool in the middle of the night, hoping to master his powers. However, he is caught by a security guard, who is almost killed by Stephen’s uncontrollable teleportation. The situation becomes so dire that John (Luke Mitchell), one of the leaders of the Tomorrow People, has to intervene and teleport Stephen back to safety.

The episode's main plot follows the Tomorrow People's efforts to save a fellow "breakout," an individual who has developed superpowers in secrecy. They need to protect this "breakout" as well as locate his missing sister. Furthermore, Stephen has an incentive to help the breakout because his father (Jeffrey Pierce) is a scientist working for Ultra - a secret organization that hunts down and kills Tomorrow People. As such, ensuring the safety of the breakout would be Stephen's first step towards undermining his father's work.

The breakout, Kurt Rundle (guest star Tyler Blackburn), has the ability to phase through solid objects, making him nearly impossible to locate. As Stephen continues to search for Kurt's missing sister, he learns that Ultra has a file on his father that could reveal all his family's secrets. And as he starts to connect the dots, it becomes evident that his family may have played a role in the experiment that triggered his powers.

One of the significant highlights of the episode is the introduction of Cassandra (Peyton List), a rogue Tomorrow Person who has a telepathic link with Stephen. Her personality is wild, and she quickly becomes a fan favorite, injecting some much-needed humor into the story. She also seems to know a lot about Stephen's father, which adds more mystery to the story.

Meanwhile, John and Cara (Meghan Markle) try to retrieve Kurt's sister from Ultra's underground headquarters, where they uncover some sinister plans. They also learn that Ultra is experimenting on Tomorrow People to amplify their powers, making them more dangerous than ever before.

As the clock ticks and Kurt's powers begin to take a toll on him, Stephen, John, and Cara must come together to rescue him before Ultra gets its hands on him. And at the same time, Stephen tries to gather information about his father and prevent his family's secrets from being exposed to deadly Ultra agents.

In conclusion, while the second episode does not introduce too many new characters, it builds upon the show's premise and lays down some foundation for the plot. The action, suspense, and drama keep the audience thoroughly engaged, and the episode ends with a satisfying cliffhanger. It sets up an overarching narrative that keeps the viewers hooked throughout the season.
