The sports entertainment program combined the glitz and glamour of television with the rough and tumble world of professional wrestling. The program is widely recognized as a sports soap opera for men and it includes all of the elements of classic story telling. The show debuted in January of 1993 and has very rarely missed airing between two and three hour episodes each week. WWE Hall of Fame members Yokozuna and Koko B. Ware faced off in the very first match of the debut program.

The WWE has used Monday Night Raw as its premier television showcase every week. The best of the best showcase their wrestling and interview skills each week and each episode features some matches and content that leads to the buildup of feuds and rivalries between WWE Superstars.
