Ep 1. Rough Sketch

When Koichi Sakakibara, a transfer student, starts attending Yomiyama North Middle School, he notices that something is off about his classmates and teachers. He quickly becomes friends with a girl named Mei Misaki, who wears an eyepatch and seems to be the only one who acknowledges the strange occurrences in the school. Koichi soon learns about the school's dark history, including a curse that has claimed the lives of numerous students and faculty members.

In the first episode, "Rough Sketch," Koichi arrives in Yomiyama and makes his way to his new school. From the beginning, he gets an eerie feeling, especially when he sees a student fall down a flight of stairs. On his first day of class, Koichi is introduced to his classmates, including Mei, who is relegated to the back of the room and ignored by everyone else. Despite the strange atmosphere, Koichi tries to befriend Mei and learn more about her.

As Koichi settles into his new school, he begins to notice more strange occurrences. He sees a student who he swears he saw die in the hospital walking around the school, and he hears whispers and murmurs coming from nowhere. Meanwhile, Mei warns Koichi to stay away from her and never look at her with both eyes, but he can't help but be drawn to her mysterious and alluring aura.

As the episode progresses, Koichi and Mei explore the school after hours, and they come across a mysterious doll in a storehouse. Mei explains that the doll is called a "doll of the dead," and it symbolizes the curse that has haunted Yomiyama for years. Koichi starts to become convinced that the curse is real and that something strange is happening in the school.

The episode ends with Koichi attending a class trip with his classmates to a local shrine. While everyone is praying, he has a vision of a girl who looks just like Mei, but without her eyepatch. When he tells Mei about this, she seems to know something about it and warns him that he's in danger.

"Rough Sketch" sets the tone for Another, a creepy and suspenseful anime that's sure to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. With its mysterious characters and eerie atmosphere, the show is a must-watch for fans of horror and supernatural anime.
