Ep 4. A Distant Star

Babylon 5 season 2 episode 4, titled "A Distant Star," takes us on a journey with Captain John Sheridan and his team as they come across a distress call from an Earth ship that has been lost for 5 years. Sheridan orders his crew to investigate and they set off on a mission to find the ship.

As they approach the location of the distress call, they come into contact with a strange alien vessel that threatens them. Fortunately, the alien vessel retreats without any damage inflicted, and our team continues on their mission. After navigating through a dense asteroid field, they finally come across the lost Earth ship, the EAS Icarus.

The team boards the ship to investigate what happened to the crew and find that the ship's engines had been damaged, leaving it stranded in space. However, they also discover that there is a lone survivor, the ship's captain, who has been stranded for the past 5 years.

Captain Sheridan and the crew attempt to repair the engines to get the ship back to Earth, but soon realize that there is a ticking time bomb on board. The universe is in danger of an explosion caused by a nearby unstable star and if they don't act quickly, both ships will be destroyed.

The crew of Babylon 5 then works hard to repair the Icarus' engines, all while the unstable star inches closer to an explosion that could affect the entire galaxy. They race against time while trying to navigate through some difficult ethical decisions that come up along the way, including the possibility of leaving the captain behind and saving themselves.

As the situation grows more dire, Captain Sheridan must make some tough decisions for the safety of his crew. Will they all make it out alive? Find out in "A Distant Star."
