Ep 30. Past Aliens Present

In "Past Aliens Present," the thirtieth episode of the second season of the 2016 reboot of the animated television series Ben 10, Ben Tennyson and his cousin Gwen are exploring an ancient temple in the jungle when they stumble upon a mysterious time portal. Before they know it, Ben, Gwen, and their friend Kevin Levin are transported back to the past where they meet some of Ben's aliens in their historical contexts.

The first past alien they meet is XLR8, who helps ancient Aztecs escape from conquerors. Ben and Gwen are amazed to see how the Aztecs view XLR8 as a fierce god. Later, they run into Four Arms in medieval England, where he is helping knights vanquish a dragon that is terrorizing the village. Ben and Gwen are impressed with Four Arms' might and bravery in protecting the kingdom.

Next up is Heatblast, who they bump into as a fiery manifestation of a volcano in Hawaii. They help Heatblast stop an eruption, which is caused by an evil sorcerer from an alternate dimension. As they help Heatblast, Ben and Gwen witness how much respect he is given by the locals, who believe he's a god.

In their next time jump, Ben, Gwen, and Kevin are transported to feudal Japan, where they meet Cannonbolt. They discover that Cannonbolt is playing Sumo wrestling, and he's being trained by a sensei to perfect his fighting skills. During the training, a villainous samurai attacks them, but with Cannonbolt's help, they manage to defeat him.

Finally, the trio jumps to the future and meets the self-proclaimed ruler of an alien planet in Andromeda. They find out that the ruler is actually an old enemy of Ben's aliens, and he has come back for revenge. With the help of Upgrade, Ben and Gwen engage in an epic space battle to thwart the villain's ultimate plan before it's too late.

The episode is filled with phenomenal animation and action, and it's an excellent opportunity for Ben 10 fans to learn more about Ben's aliens by seeing them act and interact in different time periods. Additionally, the episode highlights the importance of bravery, strength, and morality in different cultures and time periods. "Past Aliens Present" is a great adventure and action-packed episode, suitable for children and adults alike.
