Ben gladly obliges and transforms into Wildvine, but things don't go as planned as the van swallows the vines in a jiffy.

As they continue to search for ways to stop the van, they discover that the van's unusual mutation has left it with a particular weakness. The new compound that the van is made up of is incredibly volatile when mixed with water. The group then hatches a plan to take advantage of the van's unique weakness.

They start by luring the monster van towards a nearby lake and then filling up a tanker with water. Grandpa Max then drives his truck as a decoy to distract the van while Ben transforms into Cannonbolt and rolls towards the tanker filled with water. Upon reaching the tanker, Ben jumps up and slams into it with all his might, causing the tank's contents to spill all over the van. The van explodes in a blaze of glory, and the alien creature is ejected, returning back to its original form.
