Ben 10: Alien Force season 2 episode 12 is titled "War of the Worlds: Part 1," and it follows our hero Ben as he discovers that the Highbreed have begun their invasion of Earth. This episode begins with Ben and his team investigating a mysterious alien device that has crashed in a deserted area of the city. They soon discover that it is a distress signal from the Plumbers, who have been attacked by the Highbreed.
The team rushes to the Plumbers' station, only to find that the place has been destroyed and all the Plumbers have been killed except for Max Tennyson. He warns them that the Highbreed are preparing to launch a full-scale assault on the Earth, and that they must stop them before it's too late.
Ben, Gwen, and Kevin agree to join Max in his efforts to stop the invasion, and they set out to gather allies from across the galaxy. They meet up with some old friends such as Ship (an alien vessel), Tetrax (a bounty hunter) and Myaxx (a Plumber scientist) who informs them that Highbreed are planning to use a weapon called the Null Void Projector to suck all the life out of the planet.
In an attempt to stop the Highbreed, Ben and his team travel to the Highbreed home world. There, they find that the Highbreed have created clones of themselves to use as soldiers in the invasion. Meanwhile, Max and Myaxx work on a plan to destroy the Null Void Projector.
As the episode comes to a close, the team splits up to take on different aspects of the Highbreed invasion. Ben faces off against the Highbreed Commander, Kevin helps Tetrax take out the Highbreed communication array, and Gwen battles the Highbreed Queen. The fate of the entire planet hangs in the balance as the War of the Worlds begins in earnest.
Overall, "War of the Worlds: Part 1" sets the stage for an epic battle between Ben and his team and the evil Highbreed. Fans of Ben 10: Alien Force will be on the edge of their seats as they watch their favorite heroes face off against the most dangerous foe they've ever encountered.
