The Joke of New Orleans is the second episode of the seventh season of Black Ink Crew. In this episode, the crew takes a trip to New Orleans to celebrate the life of a friend who passed away. The trip is also intended to help Donna get over her breakup with Alex, but things don't go exactly as planned.

Ceaser confronts the tour guide, but the situation is eventually defused. Later that night, the crew attends a comedy show, but the comedian's jokes offend Walt, and he storms out of the show. The rest of the crew stays, but the mood is still somber due to the loss of their friend.
As the episode progresses, Donna's breakup with Alex continues to weigh heavily on her. She confides in Sky, who tries to give her advice and make her feel better. Later, the entire crew gathers for a dinner at a restaurant. During the dinner, they toast to their fallen friend and reflect on the importance of friendship. Despite the tense moments and arguments, the crew is reminded that they are there for each other through thick and thin.
The Joke of New Orleans is a poignant episode that showcases the bond that the crew of Black Ink Crew shares.
