Ep 7. Rough Seas

Michael Westen is back in Miami after being left stranded in the middle of the ocean by some ruthless smugglers. In Burn Notice season 2 episode 7, titled "Rough Seas," Michael finds himself embroiled in yet another dangerous mission. This time, he has to deal with the murky world of international shipping, as he tries to help an old friend who's been robbed of millions of dollars in stolen cargo.

The episode starts with Michael trying to convince the FBI to let him help out an old friend, Tom Strickler, who's been robbed of his entire cargo aboard a cargo ship. Michael's pitch is that he's uniquely qualified for the job, having spent years working for intelligence agencies, and having plenty of experience with the criminal underworld.

Before long, Michael finds himself aboard the very same cargo ship that was robbed. He's posing as a former Navy SEAL and serving as the ship's new security chief. Jonathan, Tom's son, is also on the ship, overseeing the cargo. He's hired Michael to track down the thieves and retrieve the stolen merchandise.

However, things don't go as according to plan. Almost as soon as Michael starts his investigation, he finds himself up against a series of obstacles. The ship is being followed by another ship, which has a sniper who's taking shots at the crew. Before long, Michael realizes that the sniper is one of the thieves. He enlists the help of Fiona and Sam to track down the ship, which turns out to be a private yacht owned by an infamous smuggler.

As Michael comes closer to unraveling the mystery of who robbed Tom's cargo ship, he starts to realize that there's more to the story than meets the eye. Tom hasn't been totally honest with him, and some of the other crew members seem just as suspicious as the supposed thieves Michael is hunting down.

As the show takes to the open seas, the tension escalates. The ship faces a storm, and Michael must use his wits to keep Tom's son safe. Meanwhile, the smuggler threatens to sink their ship, unless they hand over the stolen merchandise.

"Rough Seas" is a fast-paced episode that keeps you on the edge of your seat with its twists and turns. The writing is sharp, and the action sequences are intense. Jeffrey Donovan is at his best as Michael Westen, who's cool under pressure even in the most challenging of circumstances. Gabrielle Anwar is fantastic as Fiona, Michael's ex-girlfriend, and longtime ally. Meanwhile, Bruce Campbell is hilarious as Sam Axe, a retired Navy SEAL who often acts as Michael's comic relief.

Overall, Burn Notice season 2 episode 7 is a solid entry in the series. It's perfect for fans of spy thrillers, action movies, and crime dramas. With its engaging characters, complex plot, and exciting action sequences, it's easy to see why Burn Notice became one of the most popular shows on television during its run.
