In the first episode of Carnival Eats' first season, host Noah Cappe takes viewers on a journey to experience two unique festivals.

After experiencing all that 89er Days has to offer, Cappe heads to Virginia Beach for the Pungo Strawberry Festival. As the name suggests, strawberries are the star of this show, and Cappe finds no shortage of berry-filled treats to try. From a strawberry milkshake topped with whipped cream and fresh fruit to a strawberry shortcake waffle sandwich, the festival's vendors get creative with this beloved ingredient.

But it's not all about strawberries at Pungo. Cappe also ventures into the world of deep-fried fair food with a sample of the festival's famous fried pork chop on a stick. And he explores the world of Cajun cuisine with a hearty serving of jambalaya served up by a local chef.
