Ep 7. Wayne's Good Karma(ann) Ghias

In the seventh episode of season 12 of Chasing Classic Cars, titled "Wayne's Good Karma Ghias," host Wayne Carini heads to the Hamptons to check out a collection of Volkswagen Karmann Ghias. The episode begins with Wayne meeting up with a friend who has a Karmann Ghia sitting in his garage that needs some restoration work done. Wayne then heads over to the owner of the collection he's come to see, who has four Karmann Ghias in total.

The first Karmann Ghia we see is a red 1973 model that the owner picked up for just $1,000. The car has been sitting for a while and needs some love, but Wayne sees potential in it and decides to make an offer. The next car in the collection is a blue 1969 Karmann Ghia that the owner has owned since he was 17 years old. After looking over the 1969 Karmann Ghia, Wayne and the owner take it for a spin, and Wayne is impressed with how it handles. The owner talks about how he's always wanted to do a full restoration on the car but never had the time or resources. Wayne offers to take the car off his hands and give it the restoration it deserves, and the owner happily agrees.

Next up is a yellow 1967 Karmann Ghia, which is in great shape and doesn't need a ton of work. Wayne takes it for a spin and loves how tight the steering is. He decides to make an offer, and after a little negotiation, the owner agrees to sell.

Lastly, Wayne checks out a 1970 Karmann Ghia that's been sitting in a barn for 30 years. It's in rough shape, but Wayne sees a diamond in the rough and decides to make an offer. The owner is hesitant to sell, but Wayne is persistent, and after a little more negotiation, the two come to an agreement.

Throughout the episode, we see Wayne's passion for classic cars and his dedication to finding and restoring these gems. He's respectful of the owners and their connections to the cars, and he's willing to put in the time and effort to bring these Karmann Ghias back to their former glory. "Wayne's Good Karma Ghias" is a fun episode that showcases Wayne's expertise and enthusiasm for classic cars, as well as his ability to negotiate and strike a deal.
