  • February 24, 2015

In the 17th episode of season 32 of the popular cooking competition show Come Dine with Me, we head to the coastal city of Southampton in the south of England. This episode is titled "Southampton: All in One" and promises to be a unique experience for both the contestants and the viewers.

The episode features four contestants who will be taking turns hosting dinner parties in their homes over the course of a week. Each contestant will be judged by the others on their cooking skills, presentation, hosting abilities, and overall experience. The contestant with the highest score at the end of the week will win a cash prize of £1,000.

The first contestant we meet is Sally, a retired teacher who describes herself as a "foodie". Sally is planning to create an all-in-one dish for her fellow contestants, which she hopes will impress them and showcase her cooking skills. Her menu includes a slow-cooked beef stew with vegetables, potatoes and dumplings, which she plans to serve with a side salad and crusty bread. For dessert, Sally is making a classic apple crumble with custard. Sally is confident in her cooking abilities but is also aware of her competition and is determined to make a strong first impression.

The second contestant is Greg, a self-professed "dining enthusiast" who loves nothing more than hosting dinner parties for his friends and family. Greg is planning a sophisticated three-course meal for his guests, which he hopes will really showcase his culinary skills. For starters, he is making a smoked salmon and avocado mousse with a side of crostini toast. For the main course, he is cooking pan-fried sea bass with saffron potatoes, grilled asparagus, and a green salad. Greg is pulling out all the stops for his dessert, with a decadent chocolate fondant served with a fruit coulis and creamy vanilla ice cream. Greg is confident that his menu will wow his guests and earn him top marks.

The third contestant is Sarah, a busy working mother who loves cooking but doesn't always have the time to experiment in the kitchen. Sarah is planning a simple but delicious menu of comfort food that she hopes will impress her fellow contestants. For starters, she is serving homemade vegetable soup with crusty bread. For the main course, she is making a hearty beef lasagne with a side salad and garlic bread. Sarah is finishing up with a classic British dessert of sticky toffee pudding with a dollop of fresh cream. Sarah is hoping that her home-cooked comfort food will earn her top marks from her guests.

The final contestant is Mark, a fitness fanatic who is passionate about healthy eating. Mark is putting a twist on traditional British cuisine by creating a healthy version of some classic dishes. For starters, he is making a prawn cocktail with a low-fat mayonnaise dressing. For the main course, he is cooking a chicken and vegetable casserole with brown rice. For dessert, he has created a sugar-free fruit salad with a low-fat yoghurt dressing. Mark is determined to prove that healthy eating doesn't have to be boring and that his healthy take on classic dishes can be just as delicious.

Over the course of the week, we follow the contestants as they prepare and present their meals to each other. There are highs and lows, from gourmet dishes to burnt offerings and some questionable hosting skills. The contestants score each other on various aspects of their dinners, including the quality of the food, the presentation, the atmosphere, and the overall experience.

In the end, only one contestant can be crowned the winner and earn the £1,000 prize. Who will it be? Tune in to find out in this exciting episode of Come Dine with Me.
