Come Dine With Me Season 32 Episode 8 Coventry: All in One
- September 24, 2014
As the clock ticks down to an exciting season finale, Come Dine with Me brings us a brand new episode from Coventry with the title "All in One". In this episode, four amateur chefs battle it out for the title of the ultimate dinner party host.
First up is computer science student Sophie, whose menu features a mix of traditional British dishes with a modern twist. She aims to impress her guests with a starter of beetroot cured salmon with fennel and orange salad, followed by a main of roast beef with a red wine and thyme jus, and ending with a dessert of spiced apple cake and vanilla ice cream. However, her hopes are dashed when her guests become embroiled in a debate over the authenticity of her red wine.
Next up is dance instructor Paul, a self-proclaimed party animal who hopes to wow his guests with a Latin-themed menu. He starts off with a spicy prawn and avocado salad, followed by a main course of slow-cooked pork belly with black beans and rice. His dessert, a rum-soaked sponge cake dubbed "fiesta flan," was a hit among his guests, but his eccentric personality rubbed some of them the wrong way.
Third in the lineup is event planner Sarah, who prides herself on her polished hosting skills. She opts for a menu that combines French and Italian influences, starting with a classic baked Camembert with rosemary and garlic. Her guests are then treated to a main course of sea bass en papillote with roasted veg, before rounding off the meal with a rich chocolate and hazelnut torte. Her guests are divided over the strong flavors of the torte, but overall express their admiration for her attention to detail.
Finally, it's the turn of insurance broker Ricky, who hopes to impress his guests with a menu inspired by his Caribbean heritage. His starter is a warming bowl of goat soup with dumplings, followed by a main of curried mutton with rice and peas. For dessert, he veers off-course with a decadent white chocolate and passionfruit cheesecake which leaves his guests divided.
Throughout the episode, tensions rise as tempers flare, with some guests feeling left out by the others and others taking issue with the hosting styles of their competitors. In the end, only one of the four contestants will be crowned the winner and take home the coveted prize.
As always, the episode is peppered with funny asides from the narrator, who gives us an insight into the contestants' lives outside of the kitchen, and keeps us entertained and engaged throughout. With its mix of high-drama and culinary delights, Come Dine with Me Coventry: All in One promises to be an enjoyable and exciting watch for all fans of the show.
