Ep 12. Mother's Day

In the twelfth episode of the fourth season of Corner Gas, the town of Dog River prepares to celebrate Mother's Day. Emma, Brent's mother, is especially excited for the occasion, as she has been waiting for Brent to make her breakfast in bed for years. However, Brent, who has never been a fan of cooking, struggles to put together a decent meal for his mother.

Meanwhile, Karen is determined to make her first Mother's Day as a new mom special, but finds herself feeling overwhelmed and anxious about living up to societal expectations. Lacey tries to help her out by suggesting a relaxing spa day, but Karen is hesitant to leave her baby behind. At the Ruby Cafe, the tension between Hank and Davis reaches a boiling point when they both plan to take their mothers out for brunch at the same time. They argue and compete over who can impress their mother more, with Hank planning a gourmet meal made with ingredients he grew himself and Davis arranging for a jazz quartet to perform during their meal.

As the day progresses, each character discovers the true meaning of Mother's Day and what it means to them personally. Brent realizes the importance of putting effort into making his mother feel loved, Karen learns to let go of her anxieties and focus on the joy of the day, and Oscar comes up with a heartfelt and sentimental gift for his wife.

At the end of the day, the town comes together to celebrate the special women in their lives and reflect on the impact that mothers have had on their community.
