Guy Fieri hit the road once again in the 14th episode of the 2009 season of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. This episode, titled "Biscuits, Bagels & BLT's," featured some of the best breakfast and brunch spots across America.
First up, Guy visited The Bread and Circus Sandwich Kitchen in Eugene, Oregon. This true hole-in-the-wall joint serves up some delicious breakfast sandwiches, including an amazing BLT with house-cured bacon and avocado mayo on their homemade sourdough bread. Guy also tried their popular Hammerhead sandwich, which includes ham, bacon, turkey, and cheddar cheese on a house-made bagel.
Next, Guy headed over to Portland, Oregon to try out The Waffle Window, a food truck turned brick-and-mortar restaurant that serves up delicious sweet and savory waffles all day long. Guy tried their Meyer Lemon and Pistachio waffle topped with fresh whipped cream, as well as their famous Fried Chicken and Gravy waffle.
In Santa Clara, California, Guy stopped by Bill's Cafe to try their famous "World's Largest Pancake." This massive pancake is nearly two feet in diameter and is served with all the fixings. Guy also tried their delicious house-made corned beef hash and eggs Benedict with house-made hollandaise sauce.
Guy's next stop was St. Louis, Missouri, where he checked out Goody Goody Diner. This classic diner has been around since the 1940s and serves up some amazing soul food breakfast dishes. Guy tried their famous cornmeal pancakes with house-made pork sausage, as well as their signature BLT with fried green tomatoes and house-made bacon.
Finally, Guy stopped by The Griddle Cafe in Los Angeles, California to try out their famous "Kitchen Sink" pancake. This massive pancake is topped with nearly every ingredient imaginable, including bacon, sausage, ham, eggs, cheese, and more. Guy also tried their delicious Red Velvet Pancakes with cream cheese frosting and their breakfast BLT with house-cured bacon.
