Ep 9. Mike's Day Off

Mike Rowe is back and he is up to his usual antics, but this time he is taking a break from the madness of his dirty job and enjoying the leisurely life for a day. In Dirty Jobs season 5 episode 9 "Mike's Day Off," Rowe is living his life to the fullest and soaking up the sun, but as always, there is a catch.

It doesn't take long for Rowe to regret getting into the tiger pit as he is met with some unexpected bites and scratches.

As the day continues, Mike stays true to his spunky personality by participating in a stress test as a volunteer. He is wired with various sensors and hooks up to a machine that measures his heart rate while he is put through various stressors. Mike's reaction to the tests and the way he handles the situation is both hilarious and insightful.

The episode wraps up with Rowe living out his lifelong dream of becoming a stuntman, which turns out to be more difficult and dangerous than he anticipated. Mike puts himself through the ringer performing a series of death-defying stunts, and a day that started off as a peaceful break from work turns out to be just as crazy as any other day on the "Dirty Jobs" set.
