What follows is a hilarious series of miscommunications and mishaps as Parmenter tries to diffuse the situation by finding a way to return Blue Bird to her true love. Along the way, there are several memorable scenes, including a disastrous attempt to teach Blue Bird how to ride a horse and a comical misunderstanding involving a gift of cigars.

The episode's writing is sharp and witty, with plenty of clever wordplay and slapstick humor. The performances are uniformly excellent, with Ken Berry delivering a masterful turn as the hapless Captain Parmenter.
