In this episode of Farmhouse Rules, host Nancy Fuller takes viewers to Hudson, New York, where she visits her friends Kelly and Ian. Kelly is a collector of antiques and vintage items, and she and her fiance Ian are in the process of restoring a 1920s farmhouse. They have invited Nancy to cook a meal for them and a group of their friends to celebrate Halloween.
As Nancy arrives at the farmhouse, she immediately notices that something feels off. She senses that the house may be haunted and shares her suspicions with Kelly and Ian. They both laugh it off, but Nancy can't shake the feeling that something strange is going on.
Undeterred, Nancy gets to work in the kitchen, preparing a feast for the group. She puts her own spin on some classic Halloween dishes, including pumpkin stew, coffin-shaped bread, and an apple-cranberry crisp topped with ghostly meringues. As she cooks, she can't shake the feeling that she is being watched, and she occasionally hears strange noises coming from the other side of the house.
When the guests arrive, they all comment on how beautiful the farmhouse is and how much work Kelly and Ian have put into it. As they sit down to eat, they chat and enjoy the meal, but the feeling of unease in the house persists. Nancy continues to hear strange noises and has the feeling that someone, or something, is moving around the house.
After dinner, the group decides to explore the rest of the house. As they make their way down to the basement, they discover a room that is locked from the outside. When they ask Kelly and Ian about it, they seem surprised and say they have never been in that room before. This only adds to Nancy's suspicion that there may be something sinister going on in the house.
As the night wears on, the feeling of unease grows stronger. Nancy begins to feel like she is being followed, and she finds herself drawn to the locked room in the basement. When she finally convinces Kelly and Ian to open it, they discover something that confirms Nancy's suspicions - the room is filled with antique dolls with blank, staring eyes. Nancy realizes that the dolls may be the source of the strange energy in the house.
Despite the unsettling discovery, Nancy and her friends try to shake off the creepy feeling and continue to enjoy each other's company. However, when they attempt to leave the house after the party, they find that all of the doors are locked. They are trapped inside, and the feeling of malevolence in the house grows stronger.
As they search for a way out, they begin to hear whispers and disembodied voices. Nancy becomes convinced that the dolls are coming alive and possessing the minds of the people in the house. In a desperate attempt to escape, they break a window and climb out, running into the night and away from the haunted farmhouse.
In the aftermath, Nancy and her friends agree never to return to the house, but they have been changed by the experience. Nancy realizes that she might have a supernatural gift for sensing ghosts and spirits, and she decides to explore this further in future episodes of Farmhouse Rules.
