Ep 4. Durt Reynolds

In episode 4 of season 9 of Gold Rush, titled "Durt Reynolds," the Parker Schnabel crew faces a setback as they try to mine in a new cut. Parker tries to get to the bottom of the issue by sending divers down to inspect underwater pumps, but it only reveals more problems. Meanwhile, Rick Ness' crew is also encountering difficulties as they struggle to move a massive conveyor belt, causing delays in their mining operation.

Tony Beets is feeling the pressure to get his dredge up and running before the end of the season, and he enlists the help of "Durt Reynolds," an experienced mechanic, to fix one of his excavators. However, the repairs prove more difficult than expected, leading Tony to take extreme measures to get the job done.

Over at the Hoffman crew, Todd and his team are dealing with the fallout from last week's disastrous attempt to mine an area with heavy boulders. In an effort to salvage the situation, they decide to bring in a new piece of equipment, the "D-Rod," which is specifically designed for breaking up rock. But the team quickly realizes they may have bitten off more than they can chew as they struggle to operate the complicated machine.

As tensions rise and the pressure increases to hit their gold targets, the crews are forced to confront their issues head-on and face the harsh realities of mining in the unforgiving Alaskan wilderness.
