Golden Kamuy Season 1 Episode 5 Race

Asirpa disguises herself as a young boy and with the help of a local Ainu man, they enter the race in the hopes of befriending Henmi. Sugimoto, meanwhile, is tasked with finding information by infiltrating the town's brothel disguised as a customer.

The race is a thrilling spectacle, and Asirpa and her Ainu companion, Kiroranke, put up a good fight. However, the race is abruptly halted when one of the horses collapses, revealing a hidden weapon that had been embedded in its leg. The townspeople suspect foul play and tensions rise as the authorities investigate.

Sugimoto makes his way to the brothel and quickly gains the trust of one of the workers, who reveals key information about Henmi's whereabouts. He rushes to inform Asirpa, who is still at the race track but finds her entangled in a heated argument with the other contestants.

As tensions rise in the race track, a group of soldiers arrive, led by Lieutenant Tsurumi himself, who makes a grand entrance and successfully arrests the suspect behind the hidden weapon. The episode ends with Sugimoto and Asirpa narrowly escaping the clutches of Tsurumi and his men once again, but not without learning valuable information about the gold's whereabouts.

"Race" proves to be an action-packed episode with plenty of twists and turns to keep audiences on the edge of their seats. The race sequence is beautifully animated and serves as a dramatic backdrop for the unfolding plot. Asirpa's clever disguise and Sugimoto's daring infiltration make for thrilling viewing, and the introduction of Lieutenant Tsurumi adds an intriguing new element to the story. With each episode, Golden Kamuy continues to surprise and impress, cementing its place as one of the best anime series of recent years.
