The Golden Time anime television show is a college based story centered on the characters of Banri Tada, Mitsuo Yanagisawa and Koko Kaga. Banri Tada is struggling with amnesia due to an accident, he meets and befriends Mitsuo Yanagisawa when the two are simultaneously lost and late for their university's opening ceremony and orientation. The Yanagisawa and Koko Kaga appear to be in the aftermath of some sort of romantic fallout. This story contains a combination of comedy, romance and drama. It depicts a combination of the after-effects of amnesia, the drama of unrequited love and college life. This is also the story of new beginnings for each character. One has no choice but to start fresh in the world due to brain damage issues, the other two clearly have some unfinished business with each other that has no choice but to turn over a new leaf. Plus stories involving a college environment tends to be very symbolic of new beginnings since college is an institution of truly finding yourself and truly beginning to figure out your place in life.
