The show Gotham follows the early career of Detective James Gordon and the rise of some of Gotham's most notorious villains.
Season 2, episode 4 titled "Strike Force" follows Gordon as he adjusts to his new role as captain of the Gotham City Police Department's newly formed Strike Force. Gordon struggles to unite his new team, as they come from different precincts and have their own methods of policing.
Meanwhile, Oswald Cobblepot aka The Penguin, continues to expand his criminal empire, but faces a new threat from a rival gang led by Theo Galavan and his sister Tabitha. Galavan offers a deal to Penguin to work together, but he refuses and a war between the two groups begins to escalate.
The Strike Force is soon put to the test when Galavan's gang targets them, and Gordon must make some tough decisions in order to protect his team. But as the tension between the two groups increases, the Strike Force is pushed to their limits and must find a way to stop Galavan before he can take control of the city.
As the episode progresses, we see deeper into the characters' motivations as well as the larger political machinations occurring in the city. The tension and danger increase throughout the episode, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats as they wonder what will happen next.
In addition to the action and drama, the episode also sets up future storylines and character development for several of the key players, including Gordon and Cobblepot.
