Shinn is still struggling with his past, haunted by the memories of his family's death. The events of the last episode have only made things worse, as he is forced to confront the man responsible for his parents' deaths. Meanwhile, Athrun is feeling the weight of his own past, as he grapples with his role in the war and his friendship with Kira.
As the episode begins, Shinn is seen having nightmares about his family's death. He wakes up in a cold sweat, only to find that Luna is there with him, trying to comfort him. Luna knows that Shinn is struggling with something, and she wants to help him get through it. But Shinn, who is still in shock over the events of the last episode, is not interested in talking about it.
Elsewhere, Athrun is having his own problems. He is still haunted by the events of the first war, and he is struggling to come to terms with his own role in the conflict. He is also conflicted about his friendship with Kira, knowing that they are fighting on opposite sides of the war. Despite this, he is determined to do whatever he can to bring an end to the fighting.
As the episode progresses, Shinn is seen training with his new Gundam, trying to push himself harder than ever before. He knows that he needs to be stronger if he is going to be able to protect the people he cares about. But as he trains, he is plagued by more and more memories of his past, which only serve to distract him.
Meanwhile, Athrun is sent on a mission to intercept a group of enemy pilots who are attempting to infiltrate a base. As he fights his way through the enemy forces, he is forced to confront the harsh realities of war once again. But even as he fights, he can't shake the feeling that there must be a better way to end the conflict.
Back on the Minerva, Shinn is still struggling with his past. He confides in Rey, telling him about the nightmares he's been having and the memories that are haunting him. But Rey, who is still reeling from recent events himself, doesn't know how to help his friend.
As the episode draws to a close, the two storylines begin to converge. Athrun returns from his mission, only to find that the Minerva has been attacked by the enemy. He immediately jumps into action, fighting to protect the ship and its crew from the enemy forces. And in the midst of the chaos, Shinn finally confronts the man responsible for his parents' deaths.
The episode ends on a cliffhanger, leaving viewers with plenty of questions about what will happen next. But one thing is for certain: the past is never far behind, and it has a way of catching up to us when we least expect it.
