In a world where technology has advanced enough to allow for individual manipulation of time and space, two parallel universes had once coexisted peacefully. However, as people in both worlds begin to lose their lives in mysterious shootings, the peace is shattered, and the two worlds are at the brink of a devastating war.

The series opens with our protagonist, Tohru Kazasumi, being summoned into a futuristic laboratory after an unexpected attack on his school by a group of gun-wielding people dressed in strange outfits. In the end, Tohru's team comes out on top, but the victory leaves them uneasy, as their enemy is revealed to be a mere puppet, controlled by an unknown force. Facing more questions than answers, the team resolves to search for the source of the mysterious shootings and end the war before it destroys them all.
