Ep 3. One Giant Leap

As soon as Claire's miraculous recovery after jumping from the rooftop hit the news, her father, Nathan Petrelli, is determined to cover it up and prevent getting any unwanted attention. He asks Claire to keep quiet about it, but she refuses to do so, claiming that she wants to know what really happened to her. Meanwhile, Hiro tries to convince Ando to help him travel back in time to save the world from destruction in the future.

Elsewhere, FBI Agent Audrey Hanson comes to New York to investigate a possible connection between Isaac Mendez and the series of murders that have been occurring around the country. Isaac, who has successfully predicted one of the murders, is unaware of Audrey's presence. She manages to locate him and tries to get him to help her solve the case.

As Mohinder Suresh tries to find his father's research about the evolution of humans, he comes across a person who has been tracking his moves. Afraid of his life, he flees from his apartment and goes to his father's office to finish his breakthrough research on the same topic. Unknown to him, Isaac had painted a prediction of Mohinder in his office the previous day.

Meanwhile, Nathan's brother, Peter Petrelli is plagued with dreams of catastrophic events that will be happening in the future. Unsure of what to do with the visions, he confides in his mother who advises him to see a psychiatrist. Rejected by one, he meets his nurse who guides him in tapping into his newfound abilities that allow him to predict future events at command.

As the episode progresses, various characters find themselves in different kinds of danger. Claire's father orders her to stop attending school to avoid getting caught up in the media frenzy after her heroic stunt, but Claire refuses. Hiro and Ando travel to Las Vegas, transported by their single-minded obsession to save the world from impending doom. Nathan and Peter's relationship deteriorates as Peter struggles to convince his brother of the magnitude of the catastrophe that awaits them in the future.
