Ep 1. The Second Coming

Adam Monroe makes an explosive entrance into Nathan's life, demanding that Nathan reunites the Company once again, a group that can trace its roots through time and can bring untold danger to the planet. Nathan agrees to reconsider the demand, but only after ordering surveillance on Adam.

In another part of town, Claire Bennet has grown tired of being a freak. Her unique abilities have always made her an outcast, and she is done with that. Her desire is to lead a normal life, free of all the drama that surrounds her. However, her hope of achieving it changes after winning a scholarship to an Ivy League school. Her admittance is wholly based on her family's newfound status as celebrities. But with fame comes consequences, and she quickly learned that she cannot endure a mundane life that put her destiny in the background.

Finally, in Japan, Hiro seeks to alter the past, his very nature, and that of the human race. The knowledge of the future he acquired allowed him to know how the world ends, and he embarks on a journey through time to prevent this from happening. His first mission is to save his father post-natal death in 1991 and prevent him from taking an action that could change the future. However, he finds that saving his father's life is the least of his issues.

In conclusion, "The Second Coming" is an explosive start to Heroes Season 3, introducing fans back to the series' world. The episode brilliantly captures each hero's sense of purpose and transition in life while foreshadowing events that could come later in the season.
