He allegedly did this multiple times, promising to pay her back as soon as his business took off. The plaintiff believes she has been more than patient, and is now seeking the full amount owed plus interest. The uncle admits that he owes his niece the money, but says that paying it back in full would be a financial hardship for him. He claims that he has been trying to find other ways to pay her back, but his business has not been as successful as he had hoped. The judges must determine whether or not the uncle has fulfilled his obligations under the contract, and whether or not the plaintiff is entitled to the full amount owed.
