Hot Bench Season 3 Episode 31 7-Year-Old Slam Dunk!; Rule-Breaking Babysitter?

  • October 10, 2016

In season 3 episode 31 of Hot Bench, titled "7-Year-Old Slam Dunk!; Rule-Breaking Babysitter?", Judge Patricia DiMango is joined by Judge Tanya Acker and Judge Michael Corriero to hear two separate cases.

In the first case, a young boy claims he was injured during a basketball game played with an adult neighbor. The child's mother is suing the neighbor for medical expenses related to the injury. The defendant argues that the child was not injured during their game, and that the mother is simply looking for someone to blame for her son's injury. As the judges listen to both sides of the story, they must determine if the neighbor is truly liable for the child's medical bills.

In the second case, a woman files suit against her former babysitter for violating her rules. The plaintiff had specific instructions for the babysitter on how to care for her children, including no television during certain hours and no fast food. However, the defendant admits to breaking these rules and argues that the plaintiff's strict guidelines were unreasonable and made it difficult for her to properly care for the children. The judges must decide if the defendant's breach of contract was significant enough to warrant a lawsuit.

Throughout the episode, the judges use their expertise to ask pointed questions and get to the heart of each case. With humor and insight, they provide a fair and impartial resolution to these complex legal disputes.
