Hot Bench Season 3 Episode 34 Double Trouble Twin Scam?!; If I'm Stranded, You're Stranded!
- October 11, 2016
In Hot Bench season 3 episode 34, titled "Double Trouble Twin Scam?!; If I'm Stranded, You're Stranded!", Judge Tanya Acker, Judge Michael Corriero, and Judge Patricia DiMango are back to preside over two more cases that test their ability to decipher the truth.
The first case revolves around twin brothers who claim that their landlord is a scam artist who took their money and left them stranded during a trip to California. The brothers tell the judges that they paid the landlord $2,500 for a two-week stay in a beachfront property in Venice Beach, but when they arrived, they found that the property was already occupied and they had nowhere to go. They say that the landlord promised to return their money, but he never did. The landlord, on the other hand, denies any wrongdoing and argues that the brothers breached the lease agreement by bringing their dog to the property, which is against the rules. He also claims that he offered them a different property, but they refused to move there. As the judges try to uncover the truth, they learn that there is more to the story than meets the eye.
The second case involves a woman who claims that her ex-boyfriend owes her thousands of dollars for a car loan and a personal loan that she gave him during their relationship. The woman tells the judges that she loaned the man $4,000 to buy a car, which he promised to repay in monthly installments. She also says that she gave him another $2,000 as a personal loan, which he never repaid. The man, however, denies owing her any money and argues that the car loan was a gift, not a loan. He also claims that the personal loan was repaid in full. As the judges try to sort through the conflicting evidence, they must determine whether the woman is telling the truth or if the man is being unfairly accused.
As the judges hear both cases, tensions rise and emotions run high. Judge Acker pushes the parties to reveal the whole truth and nothing but the truth, while Judge Corriero tells it like it is and Judge DiMango keeps everyone in line. In the end, the judges must render their verdicts based on the evidence presented and the credibility of the witnesses. Will justice be served or will there be more confusion and misunderstandings?
