Ep 7. Dog Tricks, Sex Flicks & Joy's Fix

Joy is back from her six-week rehab, and the girls are excited to have their friend back. However, Joy is not in as great a place as they had hoped, and she admits that she is struggling with loneliness now that her ex-husband, who had been her companion, has moved on with his life. In an effort to help lift Joy's spirits, Victoria suggests that they go out and find Joy a dog to keep her company. The ladies head to a local dog shelter, where they meet a variety of adorable pups. Joy finds a sweet little dog named Ruby, who she bonds with immediately.

Meanwhile, Melanie's boyfriend, Alec, is in town for a visit. After spending time with her friends, Alec suggests that they all watch a movie together. Melanie and Alec start browsing through the movie titles and accidentally click on a hidden folder that leads them to a collection of x-rated films. Embarrassed, Melanie tries to shut the folder, but Alec insists that they watch one of the films. Melanie feels uncomfortable with the idea, but she doesn't want to disappoint Alec, so she agrees. As they start to watch the movie, Melanie becomes increasingly disturbed by the graphic content displayed on the screen.

Elsewhere, Victoria is struggling to find work as an actress, so she decides to take matters into her own hands. She hires a young, inexperienced filmmaker to create a mini-movie showcasing her talents. Frustrated and embarrassed, Victoria sets out to fix the situation by taking on the role of director herself.
